On September 8th, 2024, I found myself among a sold-out crowd of passionate Young Miko fans, or #Mikosexuales, at the Hard Rock Orlando music arena. The energy outside was electric as hundreds of fans gathered, ready to rush in when the doors finally opened. I was surrounded by a sea of Y2K-inspired fashion — baggy pants, braided hair with pink and purple highlights, face stickers, sparkles, and so much more.

I joined the merchandise line early, excited to see the selection. There were so many options — Young Miko XOXO Tour 2024 shirts, sweatshirts, and colorful shorts. Some exclusive pieces, which weren’t available on the tour site, caught my eye too. Once inside the concert hall, the excitement was real. The Young Miko XOXO Tour 2024 logo was projected on the screen, and pink and purple lights flashed around the room, creating a sense of anticipation. The opening beats of Bad Bunny, Karol G, and Rauw Alejandro filled the air, building excitement before the main event. As the pink hearts finished loading on the screen, I knew the show was about to start.
When Young Miko hit the stage, she started things off with “Rookie of the Year” — a song I’ve listened to at least a thousand times. Seeing her perform it live in front of me, with the purple and pink hues of her bedroom set design, was surreal. At first, she seemed a little nervous, but once the song transitioned to “Oye Ma,” she jumped on the bed and the energy in the room soared.
We danced, sang and talked over the next 2 hours, anticipating each sit-down conversation, pride flag and Puerto Rico flag, and of course, Madre and Colmillo dances.

The crowd went wild for every single song, and Young Miko made sure it was fun for everyone- reading the signs, looking out to the crowd and interacting, and even pulling a young girl onstage for a photo at one point.
It was clear how much fun Young Miko was having, feeding off of the crowd and also exciting us through her comments and interactions.
The night wrapped up with an epic finale. As “Curita” played, a blast of streamers and confetti filled the air, marking the perfect end to the 2024 XOXO Tour. I didn’t want it to end, but the memories from that night will last a lifetime.
